Education is one of the most important
thing that determine the development of a country in the world. Because a
country can be called as advance country if the citizen has a great education
from their country. By the educated citizen, it can helps a country to increase
the advance of Technology of Science which is continue to the development of
economic sector. So that, every country competed to raise as well as their
educational system.
Indonesia has also an educational
system. Some educational systems have been used in Indonesia to renew and
complete the last system. The new system is the evaluation of the last system. There
are some advantages and disadvantages from education system in Indonesia. One of
the advantage the student’s attitude. The teacher give some instruction or
teaching about attitude, such as shake-hands and greeting to the teacher, to
hold of honesty, etc. And for the advantages, the student focus on the result
that makes the student will do everything to get a good result.
The educational system in Indonesia does
not escape from a curriculum that used in this country. The popular one of
curriculum currently is KTSP and Kurtilas. The simple meaning of KTSP and
Kurtilas is, KTSP was made on 2006 and Kurtilas was made on 2013. Some arguments
said KTSP and Kurtilas has advantages and disadvantages.
From a survey that the writer did, generally some
people said if KTSP curriculum is good system, because focus on the material
from the teacher. But it does not make the student being active, because the
teacher ‘s role is the center. And the teachers have a target that was determined
by ministry of education where the teacher should finishing the standard competence
on time. So many teachers focuses on the competence then the students. These are
some arguments about KTSP curriculum.
And for the arguments of Kurtilas
curriculum, generally some people said KTSP is better than Kurtilas is. From the
material of subject, Kurtilas system uses a theme in a book, and there are
sub-theme in every chapters, the name is Thematic. The theme book is used by
primary school. And for Kurtilas system, the student is asked to be more active
in the class. And Kurtilas system also need some facilities where in the corner
region is a little to used. The government should facilitate all of neccesity
prevalently to create a great learning.
So to sum up, Indonesia has some
educational systems that often changed. The writer’s opinion, if the government
want to make a new educational system, especially for curriculum, they should
be more prepared for all of neccesity. Both of from the material, the teacher
or the student, and the facilities. The government should always do the
evaluation of the educational system in this country. If Indonesia has many
brilliant citizen, it can helps Indonesia to more advanced.
